A PLACE FOR THINGS

While in Tokyo I was able to visit the Meiji Shrine. Please enjoy some images from in and around the shrine.

The very upscale shopping district in Tokyo, Japan. It has not been as busy since the tsunami earlier this year. Tourism is, however, starting to improve.

Sadly, I didn’t even notice the couple was holding hands until I returned home.
Taken just outside the lobby of the Nagoya Marriott Associa Hotel. The hotel lobby is on the 15th floor of the building. This area is where the first set of elevators bring you to reach the hotel and other areas of the building. A few years ago this building was also the tallest in Nagoya. A building across the street now has that distinction – as well as holds one of 3 head offices for the Toyota Motor Corporation.

I spent a considerable amount of time photographing the Nagoya Castle. On my way out of the castle I came across this gentleman who was using a much different way to capture the subject. I have to say I’m jealous of his method. When I asked if I could photograph him at work he was happy to oblige.

I was travelling this week and I’ll be travelling next week. I love it. I’m going to be exposed to some amazing subjects next week. I hope to serve them well in this space over the coming weeks. Stay tuned.
