Due to my flawed backup system I have lost the original file to one of my favourite images, Foggy Lake – Reflection. Today I had the chance to replace it.
The original image was shot hand held with a Canon 7D and a Canon 28mm f/2.8 lens. The lighting was fairly similar, but today it was snowing. After trying to recreate the old one I decided to embrace the snow and change it up a little. Here’s what I came up with using a Canon 5D MarkIII, a Canon 50mm f/1.4 and a tripod. I changed my shooting location a bit and I’m quite happy with the streaky snow thanks to a longer exposure.
