I’ve been back and forth to Smithers a fair bit. This time of year, that means eagles.
I’m a big fan of bald eagles on cloudy days.
I was able to get about 20m away from a reasonably low perched bald eagle. I’ve taken a shot similar to this, but that eagle was in an enclosure. I like that this one was in the wild and that there’s snow on the branch.
Spotted this Great Gray Owl near the Ancient Forest, about 110 kms east of Prince George, BC. It would have been nice to have some sort of burly branch for it to be perched on, but as is often the case, you get what you get. I’m really glad to have the Tamron SP 150-600mm …
